Frequently asked questions
Do you make custom sport coats and blazers on their own, without trousers?
Yes. A jacket is ordered on its own, cut to the wearer's measurements, from a one-piece minimum. Trousers, a waistcoat or an overcoat can be added to the same order in the same or a different cloth.
What is the difference between a sport coat, a blazer and a suit jacket?
A suit jacket is cut from the same cloth as its trousers. A blazer is a solid-colour jacket worn with different trousers, traditionally navy with contrasting buttons. A sport coat is the patterned or textured one: tweed, check, flannel, linen. We cut all three on the same blocks; the difference is cloth, lining and details.
Can the jacket be unlined or half-lined?
Yes. Fully lined, half-lined with a wide facing, and unlined with a full facing are all live options, and so are soft and structured shoulders. The cloth decides which is sensible: open weaves and linen take an unlined make well, heavy tweed usually wants at least a half lining.
What is the minimum order for custom blazers?
One piece. There is no bulk minimum, so a shop orders each jacket as it is sold, and a brand can sample a style before committing to a run.
How long does a made-to-measure sport coat take?
14 days in production from a confirmed order, with shipping on top. Cloth that a mill sends to order adds that mill's own delivery time before production starts.
Can you put our own label in the jackets?
Yes. Every jacket is made under your label, with your woven labels, packaging and branding to your specification, shipped factory-direct from Shanghai.
