Two things suit wholesale can mean
When a shop looks for suit wholesale or wholesale suits, it is looking for one of two things. The first is ready-made stock: finished suits in a spread of sizes, bought up front at a trade price and sold from the rail. A worked example of the margin
This is a worked example from our public starting prices, not a customer's figures. A full-make two-piece from USD 155 sold at USD 600 leaves about USD 445 per suit. A half canvas full make from USD 185 sold at USD 1,150 leaves about USD 965. Both are the gap between the ex works price and retail, before shipping, import duty and your own shop costs.
Stock changes the sum in a way the price list does not show. A stocked suit that sits for a season, or is marked down to clear a broken size run, has cost its full wholesale price whether it sells or not. A made-to-measure suit is only bought once a customer has ordered it.
